A fresh release of Jeffrey Epstein files has reignited public attention around US President Donald Trump, after documents revealed new details about his past interactions with the disgraced financier.

The newly released records include references to flights Trump reportedly took on Epstein’s private jet during the 1990s.
According to the documents, which were made public on Tuesday, Trump flew on convicted s£x offender Jeffrey Epstein’s private jet “many more times than previously has been reported.”
This claim appeared in an email written by a New York prosecutor and dated January 7, 2020.
The email stated that flight records showed Trump had flown on Epstein’s jet eight times during the 1990s.
Moreover, at least four of those flights reportedly included Epstein’s close associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, who is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for helping Epstein s£xually abuse underage girls.
However, the documents did not accuse Trump of committing any crime.
This point was clearly stressed as the files began circulating widely. In addition, Trump has consistently rejected claims linking him closely to Epstein’s activities.
In a social media post in 2024, Trump said he “was never on Epstein’s Plane, or at his ‘stupid’ Island.”
Nevertheless, the revelations have stirred renewed interest, largely because they appear to contradict Trump’s earlier statements.
Meanwhile, the Department of Justice moved quickly to respond. In a statement released on Tuesday, the DOJ said some of the newly released documents contained “untrue and sensationalist claims” about Trump.
Epstein – Trump
“To be clear: the claims are unfounded and false, and if they had a shred of credibility, they certainly would have been weaponised against President Trump already,” the DOJ said in a social media post.
The department added that the materials were submitted to the FBI after the 2020 presidential election, which Trump lost.
Furthermore, the scale of the document release has added to public intrigue.
The latest tranche includes about 8,000 files, featuring video and audio recordings, alongside nearly 30,000 pages of documents.
One file noted that “on two other flights, two of the passengers, respectively, were women who would be possible witnesses in a Maxwell case.”
In one particularly striking reference, a document stated that on a specific flight, the only passengers were Trump, Epstein, and a 20-year-old woman whose name was redacted. However, no further details or allegations were attached to that entry.
Some of the released videos reportedly show the interior of a federal detention centre where Epstein died in 2019.
His de@th was ruled a suicide, yet speculation surrounding the circumstances has continued for years.
Trump has downplayed the renewed focus on the Epstein files. On Monday, he suggested the disclosures were being used by political opponents to “deflect against tremendous success” by his administration.
Therefore, while the Trump Epstein flight records have resurfaced unexpectedly, officials insist they do not amount to evidence of wrongdoing.
