Nollywood actress Evans Okoro has stirred serious concern on social media after revealing chilling claims against her husband, Chibuzor Erikife.
In an emotional video that has now gone viral, the actress accused her husband of threatening her life after she expressed her decision to end their marriage.
The couple, who got married in April this year, appeared happy to the public, making this revelation both shocking.
Evans, through her video, said she had kept quiet for too long and could no longer live in silence.
“I am living in fear. Something strong is happening to me, and if I do not come out to say it, I do not know where I will be tomorrow,” she said.
She added, “The shoe that I took home is not my size. Chibuzor Erikife is threatening me, that if I leave him, he will unalive me.”

According to her, a formal petition has already been filed at the police station, and she wants to break all ties with her husband.
In the video, Evans claimed that her husband had false assumptions about her financial status when he married her.
“Chibuzor married me thinking that I have money to spend,” she said. She also alleged that he became resentful after she refused to hand over money from a recent business trip to Lagos.
Moreover, she stated that he had been emotionally and physically distant, refusing to engage with her as a partner.
“He will not touch me. I have complained to his family, but they told me to be patient and pray more. This is not about prayer,” she added.
The actress further claimed there are rumours that Chibuzor is planning to abduct and harm her.
She said, “Please, if you know you love me, I am not asking you for me… let me just finish and concentrate on my life.”
Her message appeared to be a desperate call for help, as she pleaded for public support and safety for herself and her family.
“Tell him not to harm my family or me. This marriage is not working. I have tried everything possible to make this marriage work,” she explained.
Evans also mentioned that no bride price was paid on her during the wedding ceremony.
She said, “His bride price is not on my head. The day they came to marry me, they forgot to pay my bride price.”
She revealed that her family contacted his family two weeks ago, requesting that the bride price be properly settled, but nothing has been done.
However, What was once seen as a new union now seems to be a painful and dangerous situation.
