Drama Outside Lagos Court as Mohbad’s Brother Adura Gets Arrested

The legal battle surrounding Mohbad’s issue has taken another twist as Adura Aloba, the younger brother of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, was arrested alongside his friend, Ibrahim Koleosho, also known as King White.

The arrest took place on Wednesday, March 19, at the Magistrates’ Court in Ogba, Lagos State, where they had attended a legal proceeding.

According to reports, both men were whisked away by operatives of the Zone 2 Police Command, further complicating the ongoing controversy surrounding Mohbad’s case.

Their arrest is linked to a petition filed by actor and activist Yomi Fabiyi on December 13, 2024, alleging an attempt to extort money in exchange for video evidence related to Mohbad’s death.

Fabiyi, in the petition he publicly shared on social media, claimed that Adura initiated an Instagram chat, demanding N3 million in Bitcoin in return for video evidence of how Mohbad died.

However, Adura denied the allegation, insisting that the chat came from Damola Ayinde, the individual who had purchased his phone.

To clarify the matter, a forensic investigation was conducted, and the court is still deliberating on the findings.

Following the sudden arrest, Adura’s mother, Abosede, released a viral video expressing distress over her son’s whereabouts.

In the video, she is seen wailing inside a vehicle, accusing Yomi Fabiyi and Sam Jojo of orchestrating the “abduction.”

“Please help me, Nigerians. Yomi Fabiyi and Sam Jojo have taken my son.

I don’t know where they are taking him to. He asked them to take my son away.

My son did nothing to them. They must not lay a hand on him, he is sick. Demola, you’ve put me in trouble. Mohbad’s spirit will fight you,” she lamented in Yoruba.

Adura had previously demanded a public apology from Fabiyi, Ayinde, and others, claiming that they hacked his TikTok account to damage his reputation.

In response, he filed a N1 billion lawsuit for defamation, tampering with evidence, and fraudulent allegations implicating him in the case.

A family member, who spoke on the matter, stated that Adura’s friend, Koleosho, may have been targeted due to a dispute with Fabiyi regarding the phone issue.

“We don’t know the whereabouts of Adura, but I can confirm that his friend, Koleosho, was arrested after the court proceedings today. Everything just happened suddenly.

We learnt there has been some exchange of words between Koleosho and Fabiyi over the issue relating to the phone, and this may have led to the arrest.

We don’t know where the security men came from, but we have been trying to locate their whereabouts,” the source said.

A police source confirmed that the arrest was carried out by Zone 2 Police Command in Onikan, not the Lagos State Police Command.

“Yes, they were arrested by the police operatives from Zone 2, Onikan, not men of the Lagos State Command,” the officer stated.

As investigations continue, it remains uncertain whether he will be cleared or if new evidence will emerge to support the claims against him.
