Andrew Ayew seven -year-old daughter collapsed after Ghana’s 2-0 defeat to Uruguay who was rushed to the hospital as Andrew missed second half of the match.
The 32-year-old Black Stars forward missed a penalty that would have put the African side in front on Friday and his daughter collapsed in the emotion of the moment .
Both Andre and his brother Jordan Ayew were substituted at half-time, although it is sketchy if these two scenarios are linked.Andre got the alert about his young girl’s plight, and immediately rushed to the hospital . 
On getting there, he was informed that his young girl was doing well as a tweet featuring an image from the hospital read, “Andre Ayew went from the stadium straight to the hospital to see his daughter who collapsed when he missed the penalty against Uruguay. It was quite scary but thankfully, she’s doing fine now.”
Ghana were eliminated from the World Cup with their defeat, whilst opponents Uruguay also exited the tournament in dramatic fashion on goals scored.
The match was viewed by many in the African country as a ‘grudge match’ after the infamous Luis Suarez handball incident which denied them a certain goal in the quarter-final of the 2010 World Cup.
