Ken Spears, the Co- creator of the popular animated series that keeps us glued to our TV set “Scooby-Doo” is dead.
Kelvin Spears (Ken’s son) said his father died of complications related to Lewy body dementia on Friday the 6th of November. He disclosed to Variety.
Kelvin Spears said in an interview, “Ken will forever be remembered for his wit, his story-telling, his loyalty to family, and his strong work ethic.
“Ken has not only made a lasting impression on his family, but he has touched the lives of many as co-creator of Scooby-Doo. Ken has been a role model for us throughout his life and he will continue to live on in our hearts.” Interview source Variety.
In 1977 Ruby Spears was founded by Ken Spears and Joe Ruby, both using there first names.
Unfortunately Joe Ruby died of natural causes at age 87 on the 26th of August 2020 in Westlake village, California, while Ken Spears died of complications related to Lewy body dementia at age 82, on Friday the 6th of November same year 2020.
Ken died is survived by two sons Kevin and Chris Spears, two daughter in-laws, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was 82-year-old. Curtsey Variety.
