Kidnapped Police Intelligent officers identified as police superintendent Francis Yisa and assistant superintendent John Kefas, have been rescued and currently with the force tactical team.
Details of how they were rescued is still sketchy. But a top police officer disclosed to Priscimedia that the abducted officers have been found and are currently with the FIB tactical team.
It was reported early this week of the abduction of two senior police intelligence officers by armed bandits. Superintendent Francis Yisa and assistant superintendent John Kefas, were travelling along the highway between Abuja and Kogi during the week on an investigation assignment. They were seized by bandits on August 23.
A police officer familiar with the police’s management of the situation said that the assailants had reached out with a demand for ransom. “The bandits had demanded N30 million.” The officer said.
However, the officers have been rescued but details of how they were rescued is still sketchy. But a top police officer disclosed to Priscimedia that the abducted officers have been found and are currently with the FIB tactical team.
