Nollywood legend Pete Edochie made an emotional visit to veteran Ghanaian actor Emmanuel Armah in Accra.
The visit came during Edochie’s Ghana legacy tour on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.
Edochie had reportedly been thinking about Armah since arriving in Ghana and wanted to see him personally.
Emmanuel Armah has faced serious health challenges for nearly 11 years.
His wife and caregiver explained that his health problems began while he was working in the United States.
She said undetected high blood pressure and high cholesterol later triggered a serious health crisis.
Armah was eventually brought back to Ghana, where he has continued receiving care.
During the visit, Edochie also spoke about his own health struggles while asking about Armah’s condition.
He explained that some parts of his body sometimes become swollen, including his hands and legs.
Edochie said he has chosen to leave his situation in God’s hands.
“Whenever you feel it is time for me to go, just take me. Don’t let me bother the people who are around me.”
The emotional statement came as Edochie reflected on life, health and the challenges that come with ageing.
Armah’s wife said he currently receives physiotherapy at City Physiotherapy in Accra.
She added that he also receives daily massages as part of his care.
Despite his health challenges, she said Armah remains mentally alert.
According to her, he recognises people by name and asks about those he has not seen recently.
The visit also carried special meaning for Edochie because of their long friendship.
He recalled that Armah was the first Ghanaian actor he worked with in a Nigerian production.
The two actors reportedly became close friends during their years working together in Nigeria.

We’re Edochie became emotional while reflecting on seeing his longtime friend again.
“I haven’t seen him for years, and seeing him now, it is difficult for me to blink tears back from my eyes,” he said.
The Nollywood actor also gave Armah money from his own pocket.
He further handed over a donation from a well-wisher to help with medical expenses.
Edochie later led everyone present in prayer for Armah’s recovery.
