Nollywood actor Chike Daniels has spoken out about harsh criticism surrounding his marriage, revealing why he chose his wife despite public mockery.
The actor explained that he faced ridicule on social media shortly after getting married.
However, he said the same critics have now gone silent after seeing how his family has grown.
According to him, the judgment began when people questioned his choice of partner based on appearance.
Moreover, he noted that many online users mocked him, suggesting he was “too handsome” for his wife. Despite the comments, he remained committed to his decision.
He stated, “Don’t marry her, she is too ugIy for you. When I married my wife, people on social media laughed at me saying i am too handsome for you.”
Meanwhile, Chike Daniels said everything changed after the birth of their daughter. He explained that many of the same critics now remain quiet whenever they see his child and family.
He added, “But today, when they see our beautiful daughter, they stay silent. My little girl looks exactly like her mother, the same woman they mOcked when pregnancy changed her looks.”
Furthermore, the actor stressed that beauty was never his reason for marriage. Instead, he said he valued character, peace, and emotional stability above physical appearance.
He explained, “Let me say this: I didn’t marry my wife for her beauty. I married her for her heart, her kindness, and the peace she brings to me & my family.”
In addition, Chike Daniels described his wife as kind-hearted and deeply supportive, saying she is loved by everyone who meets her.
He further noted, “Everyone who comes around her loves her, she is such an angel who loves to see everyone around her happy & comfortable.”
The actor concluded by expressing no regret about his marriage, stating that his wife remains a blessing to him and his family.
He said, “I never regretted the day I married, because she is a Blessing to me. If u marry they will find fault,if u didn’t problem,may God help u.”
