JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin confirmed the update through an official statement. He noted that the release would happen earlier than expected.
He stated, “This is to inform all candidates who sat for the 2026 UTME on Thursday, 16th April 2026, that their results will be released today before midnight.”
Furthermore, he assured candidates that an official announcement would follow immediately.
Meanwhile, the board explained that only the viewing of scores is currently enabled. The printing of full result slips will be activated later.

To check results, candidates are required to send a message using their registered phone number. The message should be sent to the official JAMB code.
Step one involves sending “UTMERESULT” to 55019. However, at least ₦50 airtime must be available.
After that, the candidate will receive a response containing their score. This method ensures quick and direct access.
Furthermore, the system is designed to reduce congestion on online platforms. It also improves convenience for users across the country.
