Nigerian singer Crayon has sparked widespread conversation after opening up about his early days in the music industry. His revelations include personal admiration for a top star and claims about early exposure to substance use.

In a recent interview with streamer Caterefe, Crayon said he once had a “massive crush” on award-winning singer Tiwa Savage during his early career phase. He noted that the admiration grew while he was still newly signed to Mavin Records.
Moreover, he explained that the environment around him at the time exposed him to new habits and social influences. According to him, these early experiences played a role in shaping his journey as a young artist.
In his words, he stated that he had a “massive crush” on Tiwa Savage during that period, particularly around 2018 when both were linked to the same record ecosystem. The statement has since circulated widely online.
In addition, Crayon alleged that he was introduced to a substance known locally as “Backy,” a street term used for a mix of drugs rolled into a blunt. He said the introduction happened casually during a conversation about smoking.
