Drama in Mavin Camp as Crayon Blasts Label in Late-Night Rant

Nigerian singer Crayon has stirred controversy online after posting a series of shocking messages that appeared to criticize his record label, Mavin RecordsThe 28-year-old artist, whose real name is Charles Chibueze Chukwu, made the remarks on social media late Sunday night.

Meanwhile, the Crayon Mavin Records rant has raised questions about his relationship with the label that helped launch his career. Crayon began his online posts with a strange combination of praise and frustration directed at the leadership of the label. In one message, he mentioned Mavin Records founder Don Jazzy while expressing excitement.

“Don Jazzy na my boy!!!!!! Una dey maddddd!!?? Shayennnnn sharayyyyyy333,” he wrote.

However, the tone of his posts soon changed as he directed a strong accusation toward the label’s chief operating officer, Tega Oghenejobo.

“Tega highest criminal!!!!!!!!!” he posted.

The singer also made a disturbing claim about his personal life. He alleged that he lost his mother because of the label, although he did not provide further details about the statement.

Crayon was signed to Blowtime Entertainment in May 2019. The imprint operates under the well-known Mavin Records label. Since then, he has released several songs that gained popularity among fans. In another post, Crayon wrote that “Mavin is going down!!!!!!”, a statement that quickly spread across social media platforms.

The singer also appeared to criticize fellow Mavin artist Rema. In one of the posts, Crayon suggested that he would refuse to collaborate with the global Afrobeats star. He wrote that Rema would not receive a feature from him “for the next 100 years.”

Furthermore, he accused the singer of taking his spotlight. Meanwhile, some fans questioned whether Crayon’s social media account might have been hacked.

However, there has been no confirmation of any security breach. Interestingly, the singer has continued posting content on Instagram without addressing the controversy. Therefore, it remains unclear whether the statements were made intentionally or during a moment of frustration. Investigations show that Crayon recently released a song titled “Baami.”

The track appears to be linked to an imprint known as Olodum Entertainment.Notably, the release does not show visible branding from Mavin Records. In addition, new details have increased speculation about a possible departure from Mavin Records.
