At the 2026 Grammy Awards, a historic moment quietly unfolded on music’s biggest stage. An eight-year-old American singer, Aura V, walked away with a Grammy, rewriting the record books in the process.
The win instantly placed her name alongside music royalty.
Aura V, performing alongside her father in the group FYÜTCH & Aura V, won Best Children’s Music Album for Harmony at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards. Moreover, this victory made Aura V the youngest individually credited Grammy winner in history.
The youngest Grammy winner record officially changed hands. The title was previously held by Blue Ivy Carter, daughter of Beyoncé and Jay-Z, who won her first Grammy in 2021 at age nine. Blue Ivy earned that award for Best Music Video for Brown Skin Girl at the 63rd Grammys.
Aura was just eight years and seven months old when her name was called. Furthermore, it was her first-ever Grammy nomination.
Few artists, regardless of age, manage such a feat on their first attempt.

The album Harmony stood out in a competitive category. The father-daughter duo beat respected names including Joanie Leeds & Joya, Mega Ran, Flor Bromley, and Tori Amos.
Meanwhile, the announcement came during the main awards ceremony. In addition, Aura’s win also surpassed another long-standing record. Leah Peasall previously held the title at eight years and ten months, after winning as part of the Peasall Sisters. Before that, LeAnn Rimes was considered a benchmark after winning at age 14 in 1997.
Although Aura’s achievement appears sudden, it reflects a growing trend of family collaborations shaping modern music. Supporters say the project highlights creativity, trust, and shared values between parent and child. Moreover, it shows how children’s music is gaining stronger recognition within the industry.
