Vice President Kashim Shettima has returned to Abuja after a surprising and impactful international tour that placed Nigeria at the centre of major global debates.

Afterwards, he moved to Luanda for the 7th AU–EU Summit.

Moreover, both meetings allowed him to present Nigeria’s stance on global fairness and African representation.

In Angola, the Vice President delivered President Tinubu’s key message.

He stressed that Africa must secure permanent seats with veto powers on the UN Security Council.

The President’s statement insisted that deep reform is overdue and must reflect world realities.

He also appealed to the European Union for stronger cooperation.

Furthermore, he urged the EU to design peace and security plans with African partners.

The Vice President added that such plans must rely on African-led systems for lasting results.

Nigeria at G20 Summit became a major talking point as Shettima restated the country’s commitment to peace and democratic growth.

He noted that Nigeria will continue to work with the EU to build a more stable and fair world.

At the G20 Leaders’ Summit, President Tinubu’s message focused on financial fairness.

He asked the world to fix global financial systems in ways that serve all nations.

He also argued that old global structures no longer match modern challenges.

He said the frameworks were “built in an era far removed from” today’s world.

During the third session, he made two strong appeals.

In addition, he called for a fair global plan for communities with critical minerals in Africa.

He explained that value must be added at the source and not shifted abroad.

Meanwhile, he also supported global rules for Artificial Intelligence.

He said the rules should help development and reduce risk.

His remarks placed Nigeria at G20 Summit discussions on technology fairness.
