Sean “Diddy” Combs

American rapper and music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has been transferred to a U.S. federal prison to begin serving his 50-month jail term following his recent conviction for prostitution-related crimes.

According to TMZ, the 55-year-old rapper was moved to the Federal Correctional Institution, Fort Dix, a low-security facility in New Jersey known for its rehabilitation and drug treatment programs.

Combs’ legal team had earlier requested the transfer, citing his preference for Fort Dix due to its structured reform initiatives.

He is expected to remain there until May 8, 2028, barring any sentence reductions for good behavior.

The award-winning artist was sentenced on October 3, 2025, after being found guilty on two counts of transporting individuals across state lines for prostitution.

His trial began earlier in May 2025 at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

During the proceedings, federal prosecutors alleged that Combs operated a network of employees and associates who arranged interstate travel for women to engage in sexual acts with him.

The charges stemmed from a long-running investigation into sexual misconduct, racketeering, and human trafficking.

Although the rapper pleaded not guilty to all charges, the court ruled against him after months of testimony and the presentation of extensive evidence.

Before his conviction, Diddy’s legal representatives had proposed a $50 million bond to secure his release.

They offered a set of strict conditions, including home detention with GPS monitoring, no internet or phone access, 24/7 supervision, and weekly drug testing.

However, the court rejected the proposal, citing the gravity of the charges and potential risks to witnesses.

The rapper’s imprisonment has continued to dominate social media conversations, with mixed reactions from fans and critics.

Meanwhile, sources close to Combs revealed that he plans to appeal parts of the ruling through his lawyers, though no official appeal has been filed yet.

The Fort Dix facility, where Diddy Combs will serve his term, houses over 2,500 inmates and is designed for non-violent offenders and individuals participating in rehabilitation programs.
