The long-standing rivalry between rap superstars Cardi B and Nicki Minaj reignited on social media this week.
What began with a cryptic tweet from Nicki quickly spiraled into a heated back-and-forth filled with insults, memes, and personal digs.
On Monday night, Nicki Minaj, 42, set the stage with a post promoting her upcoming album.
She wrote: “Never provoke a writer while they’re ✍🏽 … Let the reindeer games begin. 3.27.26 #WinAgain.”
The tweet, which included hashtags mocking rivals, was widely interpreted as a direct shot at Cardi B.
The “Pink Friday” rapper followed up with a string of since-deleted posts targeting Cardi’s music and album sales.
In one tweet, she reduced Cardi’s latest project Am I the Drama? to “$4.99,” mocking its iTunes promotion. She then mocked Cardi’s hit track Magnet, rewriting its lyrics into satirical bars:
“Abcdefgeeeeeeee / SUR GER REE TO LOOK LIKE MEEEEEE / tell the rat & tell J ZEEEEEE / Rico Fraud & PERJURY.”
Nicki also took aim at Cardi’s pregnancy, calling her “Barney Dangerous” while posting memes and parody verses.
Cardi, 32, wasted no time responding. She dubbed Nicki “Cocaine Barbie” and flipped her own Magnet verse into a diss:
“A B C D E F G / Yor man have to snatch PUSSY / Pussy taste like honey comb / Your bro be touching 12 year olds.”
She also dismissed Nicki’s taunts about sales, telling her: “You been in the game like 16 years. You need to compare yourself to YOUR peers… Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Drake. Those are the numbers you need to be competing with.”
Cardi accused Nicki of mocking her pregnancy with her fourth child and first baby with NFL star Stefon Diggs.
In a scathing line, she tweeted: “Like you wasn’t going to different fertility doctors cuz you couldn’t reproduce from all them percs scrambling your eggs.”
As the feud escalated, both rappers posted memes ridiculing each other, with Cardi leaning into Nicki’s pink wig era and Nicki amplifying Barney jokes.
Fans across X quickly split sides, reigniting the years-long debate over who currently dominates the female rap scene.
