Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi has sent a clear and firm warning to Nigeria’s Ademola Lookman, stressing that full commitment is non-negotiable if he wants to reclaim his place in the squad.

The Nigerian forward has been at the center of a transfer storm after reports linked him with a controversial move to Inter Milan during the summer.

His absence from training for two weeks only fueled the rumors further, leaving both the management and supporters unsettled.

Now, with the transfer window closed, Lookman’s reintegration depends not on his talent, but on his attitude.

Speaking to reporters, Percassi acknowledged Lookman’s abilities but emphasized the importance of focus.

“We all know how good he is, but to play for Atalanta, you must be 100% focused. When he’s ready, we’ll be waiting for him with open arms,” Percassi said.

The statement was a strong reminder that while Atalanta values Lookman’s quality, loyalty and professionalism remain top priorities.

Meanwhile, head coach Ivan Juric has reportedly ruled out persuading the winger to return to his best.

Instead, the burden now lies on Lookman to prove he is mentally and physically ready to contribute.

Juric’s stance suggests the club will not compromise discipline for talent.

Therefore, Lookman must rebuild trust by showing effort and consistency in training.
