Veteran Nollywood actor Tom Njemanze has passed away at the age of 75, leaving the Nigerian film industry and his fans in deep mourning.
The respected actor died on Friday following a tough battle with prostate cancer.
Tom Njemanze, widely admired for his compelling acting and rich storytelling ability, was a household name throughout the 1990s and early 2000s.
Known for his roles in notable films like Tokunboh, Pounds and Dollars, Atosa, Issakaba, Osuofia in London, Brain Box, and Igbotic Love, he held a firm place in the hearts of many.
His death has come as a painful shock to both the film community and fans who grew up watching his iconic performances.

In a previously posted video on Instagram, filmmaker Stanley Ontop had revealed that Njemanze had been battling prostate cancer and needed urgent financial support.
“He needed money for urgent surgery,” Stanley disclosed, shedding light on the actor’s quiet health struggle.
Meanwhile, tributes have filled social media, with fellow actors, friends, and longtime fans offering prayers and heartfelt messages.
