American tennis superstar Venus Williams is getting ready to walk down the aisle this September.
The 44-year-old legend is set to marry her fiancé, Italian actor and model Andrea Preti, in an intimate ceremony on Italy’s scenic Amalfi Coast.
The upcoming nuptials have taken many by surprise, as Williams has kept the relationship mostly private.
However, sources close to the couple confirmed the wedding is scheduled for next month and will be attended by only close family and friends.
To kick off the celebrations, Venus recently enjoyed a lavish bachelorette party hosted on a yacht in the Adriatic Sea.
The tennis champion spent several days with her loved ones, dancing, swimming, and soaking up the sun.
“(The bachelorette party) was just really wonderful and so much fun,” a close friend shared.
“It was just family and friends — and the wedding will be the same.”
Though the celebration was kept low-key publicly, several hints appeared on Instagram.
A video showed Venus dancing joyfully in a beautifully manicured Italian garden alongside her best friend, former WNBA star Lisa Leslie.
Meanwhile, her sister Serena Williams, who’s been touring Europe this summer with her husband Alexis Ohanian and their two kids, also shared moments from what appeared to be the same yacht on her own Instagram page.
Venus Williams and Andrea Preti first met during the early summer of 2024.
Not long after, they were seen spending time together on a yacht off the Amalfi Coast near Nerano, Italy.
In January 2025, Venus posted a sweet Instagram story showing them together in the Bahamas.
She captioned it, “The best company.”
By February, fans noticed something sparkling on her finger.
However, Venus was seen at a tennis training camp wearing a large engagement ring, although she has declined to speak publicly about the engagement or wedding plans.
