The Muslim community in Nigeria is in mourning following the death of Sheikh Abdul Rasheed Hadiyatullah, President of the Supreme Council for Shari’ah in Nigeria (SCSN).
His passing was announced on Monday night, April 28, by Sheikh Daood Imran Molaasan, the Grand Mufti of Yorubaland.

According to Sheikh Molaasan, “the loss is a significant one for the Muslim community in Nigeria.”
He emphasized that Sheikh Hadiyatullah’s contributions reached far beyond religious teachings.

Sheikh Molaasan also offered prayers for the late Islamic leader, saying, “May Allah grant him mercy and admit him into Jannatul Firdaus.”
