Nollywood actress Rita Dominic has dismissed reports claiming she caused a scene at a birthday party in Ghana last weekend.
She described the claims as false, stating that such assumptions were baseless and lacked proper verification.
Reports had circulated that the actress allegedly ignored admirers and shunned the press at the party of a Ghanaian businessman.
However, in response, Dominic took to her social media page to clarify that she never prevented the media from doing their job.
She expressed her disappointment over the false information being spread, urging people to verify their facts before drawing conclusions.
According to her, being a public figure means understanding the role of the press at social events.
Dismissing the reports, Rita Dominic stated, “Duh! A person who does the kind of job I do and is out in a public place would not stop the press from doing their job. That’s lame. Stop making up stories that don’t make sense.”
Her reaction emphasized that it would be unreasonable for her to prevent journalists from performing their duties at an event she attended publicly.
Moreover, she pointed out that the media plays a crucial role in covering celebrity events, and she has always respected that.
