Trump Warns Iran: Any Assassination Attempt Will Lead to ‘Obliteration’

U.S. President Donald Trump has made it clear that any attempt on his life by Iran would result in severe consequences.

On Tuesday, February 4, Trump signed a directive reinforcing the U.S. government’s “maximum pressure” campaign against Tehran.

The order, he stated, was necessary to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons, as the country was allegedly “too close” to acquiring one.

Furthermore, he emphasized that he had left strict instructions for his advisers in case an attack was ever carried out against him.

“If they did that, they would be obliterated,” Trump declared while addressing reporters. “I’ve left instructions—if they do it, they get obliterated, there won’t be anything left.”

When pressed for clarification, he reiterated, “That would be called total obliteration. I can’t imagine they would do that.”

His remarks followed a Justice Department report in November, which revealed an Iranian plot to assassinate him ahead of the upcoming presidential election.

The investigation found that Iranian officials had directed Farhad Shakeri, 51, to monitor and ultimately kill Trump, though Shakeri remains in Iran.

Meanwhile, Trump took aim at President Joe Biden, criticizing his handling of foreign policy and national security.

“Biden should have said that, but he never did. I don’t know why. Lack of intelligence perhaps? But he never said it,” Trump remarked.

His latest executive order also included the withdrawal of the U.S. from the United Nations Human Rights Council, reinforcing his administration’s approach to global affairs.

Moreover, he reiterated that his warning to Iran was necessary to safeguard the country’s stability and prevent future threats.

Trump’s strong rhetoric has sparked global reactions, as tensions between the U.S. and Iran remain high.

While his warning aims to deter potential threats, critics argue that such aggressive language could escalate hostilities.

However, with national security at the forefront, Trump continues to push for strict measures, ensuring that the U.S. remains vigilant against any perceived dangers.
