When asked if Musk had shown interest in buying Liverpool FC, Errol initially declined to confirm, joking, “I can’t comment on that. They’ll raise the price.”

However, he later admitted, “Oh, yes. But that doesn’t mean he’s buying it. He would like to, yes, obviously. Anybody would want to—so would I!”

The comment has fueled speculation about Musk’s intentions to add the historic football club to his growing list of ventures, including Tesla, SpaceX, and X.

Musk’s reported interest in Liverpool FC may also have personal roots.

Errol Musk revealed that their family shares historical ties to Merseyside, with Musk’s grandmother being born in Liverpool.

He stated, “His grandmother was born in Liverpool, and we had relatives in Liverpool, and we were fortunate to know quite a lot of the Beatles because they grew up with some of my family.

So, we are attached to Liverpool, you know.”

Musk has previously spoken about his grandmother, who was born in 1923 and passed away in 2011, describing her as a major influence during his childhood.

Reflecting on her resilience, Musk once shared on X: “She grew up very poor in England during the Great Depression, only to be bombed in WW2.

To earn money for food, she cleaned houses, leaving me with a lasting respect for those who do so.”

While no official steps have been confirmed, Musk’s potential involvement with Liverpool FC has sparked interest among football fans and analysts.

Given Musk’s track record of innovation and bold investments, a move into Premier League football could significantly raise the profile and commercial prospects of the club.

With his estimated net worth of $418 billion, Musk’s financial resources could bring sweeping changes and growth opportunities to Liverpool FC.

Meanwhile, Musk’s heritage and connection to Liverpool appear to make the potential acquisition a meaningful one, both personally and professionally.

As the speculation continues, football enthusiasts and investors will be watching closely to see whether Musk makes an official move to buy the iconic football club.
