18 Pakistan flood victims killed in a bus fire

Flood victims of Pakistan were reportedly killed in a bus fire having a record of 18 deceased including 12 children during the attack late Wednesday. They were tagged as victims who were trying to regain their houses after fleeing from the catastrophic flooding that has descended on the country.The rescued workers confirmed this on Thursday.

They were forced to shift to Karachi after the floods submerged their homes in Khairpur Nathan Shah in Dadu district of Sindh province.Police stated that the passengers died when flames broke out overnight on a northbound bus outside the city of Karachi.“They were going back to their village when they were overtaken by this accident,” Vinod Kumar, a district health official present at the scene said.“Apparently, the fire broke out in the air-conditioning system of the bus but investigations will reveal the real cause,” police officer Hashim Brohi, also stated.

The record floods have killed more than 1,700 people in Pakistan . Pakistan has been hit by unprecedented flooding rains this year, putting a third of the nation underwater, displacing eight million people, and causing $28 billion worth of devastation.
