Popular Singer,Harrysong arrested at Lagos Airport

Popular singer, Harrison Tare Okiri,staged name Harrysong, alias Mr Songz was arrested by the Operatives of Lagos Police Command at the Muritala Muhammad International Airport, Ikeja.SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), confirmed the arrest.

According to the ‘Reggae,Blues’ crooner he said that he was arrested when he landed into the state.In a statement signed by his management noted that the singer’s phone was seized at the point of arrest.The post read, “I got arrested as I landed in Lagos. My phone has been seized and they won’t allow me to communicate with my people.”

Meanwhile, this was few days after he called out music executive, Soso Soberekon. Harrysong revealed during an interview that Soso made an attempt on his life some time ago.According to him, most people he sees as his friends are “real enemies” looking for his downfall.Speaking of his relationship with Soso Soberekon, Harrysong said, “As a matter of fact, those are my real enemies.” If you see Soso now, you’ll say, “Soso is my friend.”“Soso is not my friend; Soso is my enemy. He sent people to come and kill me in Port Harcourt, no jokes. Ask my team, ask everyone. ”He said.

However, Soberekon threatened to sue him if he did not apologize and recant his statement. He also demanded the sum of N500,000,000 as compensation.“Our client has consequently directed us to request for a retraction of the said publication and an apology to be published in two newspapers and several online news millets not later than seven days of the delivery of this letter and also the payment of the sum of N500,000,000.00 (Five Hundred Million Naira) as damages and compensation for the malicious publications made against our client.“TAKE NOTICE that if you fail to heed the request of our client within seven days of the receipt of this letter, we shall be constrained to proceed to the court of law against you for exemplary damages for injurious falsehood and malicious publication made of and concerning our client.”it read.
