Gunmen launched a daring attack on a convoy in Zamfara State, leaving occupants shaken but unharmed.
The Zamfara convoy attack occurred on Thursday evening as the Chief of Staff, identified as Lugga, was returning to Gusau after an official engagement.
Moreover, the attackers reportedly struck with precision, emerging suddenly from both sides of the road. According to available details, the Zamfara convoy attack happened around 6:16 p.m. near Kucheri village. The convoy was said to be carrying the chief of staff, his driver, and two other occupants.
However, the situation escalated when the assailants opened fire directly at the vehicle. A bullet pierced through the windshield, narrowly missing the driver. In addition, another attacker reportedly moved closer to the vehicle and attempted to fire again. Fortunately, the weapon failed to discharge at that critical moment.
