The court ordered her remand following a report of physical resistance and assault on the taskforce officers during the arrest.

According to the State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, the situation could have been avoided if the pedestrian rule was obeyed. He shared on social media,

“Chidinma Obishe resisted arrest when she was apprehended for not using the pedestrian bridge at Ojota. She violently attacked some of our personnel.”

The Commissioner’s post has sparked a conversation about law enforcement, civil behavior, and the importance of obeying public safety guidelines.
