Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface is edging closer to completing a sensational move to AC Milan, with further medical examinations scheduled for today in Milan.
The Nigerian forward already began the process on Friday, August 22, marking an important step in what could be a career-defining transfer.
According to reports from Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport, Boniface underwent the mandatory CONI (Italian Olympic Committee) checks before moving to the Galeazzi Hospital for a detailed round of evaluations.
Interestingly, Milan recalled their trusted orthopaedic surgeon from vacation to personally oversee his tests, highlighting how crucial his medicals are for the deal.
Boniface’s move is being handled with extra care due to his past injury struggles.
The 24-year-old has battled muscular problems during his time at Bayer Leverkusen and previously underwent surgeries for anterior cruciate ligament injuries in 2019 and 2020.
Despite these concerns, Milan remain confident in his potential.

“The fact that the club’s top orthopaedic specialist was recalled from holiday shows Milan’s seriousness in this move,” the Italian outlet reported.
While injuries limited his progress in the past, Boniface still made a strong impression in the Bundesliga last season.
He registered 11 goals and two assists across 27 appearances in all competitions, proving his ability to perform at the highest level when fit.
Moreover, his versatility and strength in attack have made him one of the most sought-after Nigerian forwards in Europe.
AC Milan believe his style of play could be a perfect fit for the Serie A giants as they look to strengthen their attack.
Meanwhile, the club is expected to finalise the move once today’s tests are successfully concluded.
