Two aircraft collides and crash at World War II airshow, Dallas

A Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress bomber and a Bell P-63 Kingcobra fighter collided and crashed midair at a World War II airshow in Dallas on Saturday.

According to the Airport Official’s tweet,emergency crews are responding to the crash.Video clips posted on social media showed the two aircraft colliding and crashing on the ground shortly afterwards, engulfed by flames.

Although it was unclear how many people were aboard the two aircraft, both the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) have launched investigations whilst the NTSB takes the lead and provides updates.

The show is described as the nation’s premiere World War Two commemorative airshow.
