Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as Tuface , has been declared missing by his family, sparking concerns over his whereabouts and well-being.
According to the Idibia family, the singer left home in his lounge wear on February 10 without his bodyguard, and they initially assumed he was taking a short walk.
However, he has not been seen since, leading the family to seek the intervention of the Department of State Services (DSS) and state police to locate him.
Meanwhile, videos of the singer have surfaced online, including one where he is seen proposing to Edo State lawmaker Natasha Irobosa Osawaru.
Despite the circulating videos, Tuface’s family insists they have not had any direct contact with him.
Adding to their concerns, they revealed that some of his friends have received messages allegedly from him, requesting financial assistance—an unusual act for the music star, as they affirm that “Tuface is financially sufficient and has no reason to beg.”
This unexpected behavior has deepened fears that he may not be in his right state of mind, echoing previous statements from his mother, Rose Idibia, who recently pleaded with Osawaru to “free” her son.
The Idibia family also highlighted that Tuface has not been seen at any of his usual workspaces, such as the recording studio, where he is often found writing songs or making music.
“He is dedicated to his craft, yet for the past few days, he has not shown up for any studio sessions,” they lamented.
As concerns continue to grow, his family urges authorities to act swiftly to ensure his safety.
Meanwhile, his mother’s emotional video appeal has fueled further speculation regarding the singer’s mental and emotional state.
Although Tuface’s recent public appearances suggest that he is active, his unexplained absence from his family and professional obligations raises questions about his situation.
