Transfer Update: Osimhen Joins Galatasaray Permanently in Mega Deal

In a move that has delighted fans across Turkey and Nigeria, Galatasaray have secured the permanent signing of Nigerian star Victor Osimhen from Napoli.

The Turkish champions reached a full agreement with the Serie A side, bringing Osimhen back to Istanbul after his incredible loan spell in the 2024/25 season.

The 25-year-old striker was one of the standout performers last season, scoring 37 goals and providing eight assists in 41 appearances across all competitions.

His influence helped Galatasaray maintain their domestic dominance and impress on the European stage.

Galatasaray will pay Osimhen’s €75 million release clause in phases.

€40 million will be paid upfront, while the remaining €35 million will be cleared by the end of 2026.

Furthermore, Napoli will receive an additional €5 million in bonuses and retain a 10% sell-on clause for any future transfer involving the forward.

In addition, an ‘anti-Serie A clause’ has been included in the deal.

This means Osimhen cannot join another Serie A club for the next two years, giving Napoli some control over his future movements.

During his loan period with Galatasaray, Osimhen left a lasting impression.

He scored 26 goals and provided five assists in the Turkish Super Lig, proving his worth to the Istanbul-based club.

Now, his journey with the team will officially continue.

“This agreement with Napoli is a big step forward for the club. Osimhen is a world-class player, and he proved it last season,” a source close to Galatasaray management reportedly stated.

Meanwhile, Osimhen has expressed excitement about returning to Galatasaray permanently.

Though his public statement is yet to be released, insiders suggest he was keen on continuing with Okan Buruk’s side, where he has settled quickly both on and off the pitch.
