Tinubu’s Victory Was Divine—Ebonyi Governor Nwifuru

In a surprising statement that has stirred political and public interest, Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru has said that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s emergence in 2023 was divinely orchestrated, not just a political victory.

According to the governor, despite strong contenders and religious campaigns by other aspirants, it was God who handpicked Tinubu to lead the nation.

The governor made the remarks during the All Progressives Congress (APC) Zonal Stakeholders Meeting held at the International Conference Center (ICC), Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.

His words have sparked reactions online, especially due to the bold claim that the outcome of the 2023 election was driven by divine decision.

“God chose President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to be president of Nigeria contrary to the wishes and expectations of the opposition in 2023,” Nwifuru said during the meeting.

“God ignored others who contested on religious sentiments because God sees the heart of everybody, that is why He brought Tinubu.”

His statement came at a time when political alliances are beginning to form ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The Ebonyi State governor, however, believes that no opposition can stop the president’s rising popularity, especially in the South East.

According to him, Nigerians are beginning to see the value of having a leader who can make firm and fearless decisions.

In his words, “No amount of coalition can derail God’s purpose of Tinubu winning the election, come 2027. Let me assure the people that no one is disturbed by the coalition. No opposition is well prepared more than our President.”

However, Nwifuru insisted that voters will rally behind him in future elections because of his leadership style.

“We need someone who can make bold decisions. President Tinubu has such capacity,” he added, emphasizing his belief in the president’s strength and vision.

Meanwhile, political watchers believe that the Ebonyi governor’s open endorsement is a strategic move to align the region closer to the national power structure.

In addition, this may signal a gradual shift in regional politics as preparations for 2027 quietly begin.
