An early morning accident occured along Ubulu -Okiti area of the Benin -Asaba-Onitsha Expressway in Delta State resulting to the death of three persons leaving 12 injured.
It was learnt that the fatal crash involved a white Toyota Hiace bus with registration number KSH 688 ZF and a truck with registration number UWN 368 XT. The Delta State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Udeme Eshiet the accident.
Two males and one female died while seven males and five female victims survive the crash but sustained degrees of injuries.“The accident occurred at about 7.am, both vehicles were heading towards the same direction when they crashed,”an eyewitness said. 
Eshiet attributes driving all night and speed violation as a possible cause.He said, “Both commercial vehicles were said to be coming from Agbor and heading towards Asaba when the crash occurred.”
“My men out there said 15 persons comprising nine males and six females, were involved in the accident“Operatives of FRSC rescued the injured victims to the hospital at Issele-Uku, while the corpses of the dead victims had been evacuated to the morgue.”
Eshiet said that the road had been cleared of obstructions that resulted from the accident.
