Regina Daniels’ younger brother, Samuel Ojeogwu, popularly known as Sammy West, has been released from prison after meeting his bail conditions.
His release comes days after he was remanded by a Dutse Magistrate Court over multiple charges.
The court in Abuja on Monday, November 10, 2025, granted him bail following a formal application by his legal team.
The charges against Sammy West include criminal conspiracy, criminal trespass, assault, criminal intimidation, and theft.
According to reports, Sammy had been in custody since last Thursday, November 6, when the court ordered his remand at Keffi Prison.
He was later transferred to Suleja Prison before his lawyers successfully secured his bail.
A viral video circulating on social media shows the visibly elated entertainer celebrating his freedom while expressing gratitude to his family, friends, and supporters.

In the clip, Sammy West thanked those who stood by him his detention, describing their efforts as “overwhelming and deeply appreciated.”
Meanwhile, his elder brother, who goes by the handle @Sweezzy1, confirmed the news of his release, writing on Instagram, “Sammy, you are a great man. Bail has been granted! Nigerians, thank you.”
Activist MamaPee also shared a video of herself leaving the courtroom, confirming that the bail had been officially granted earlier in the day.
The circumstances surrounding Sammy’s detention are reportedly linked to the ongoing dispute between his sister, Regina Daniels, and her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.
His arrest was said to have stemmed from allegations of harassment and intimidation following a confrontation involving the couple’s family.
For now, Sammy West remains out on bail, with his next court appearance expected to be scheduled in the coming weeks.
