Tension between controversial singer Portable and content creators Carter Efe and Kolu Wahala took a turn after the pair were briefly detained by police in Ogun State.
The incident occurred following a confrontation at Portable’s popular Odogwu Bar in Sango.
Carter Efe and Kolu Wahala were, however, released on Thursday after both sides resolved the dispute at the police station. The disagreement, which quickly drew public attention online, had earlier led to their temporary detention after law enforcement officers were called to the scene.
Reports indicate that the situation unfolded on Wednesday evening when the content creators made an unannounced visit to Portable’s Odogwu Bar. The visit reportedly raised security concerns for the singer, prompting him to alert the police. Consequently, Carter Efe, Kolu Wahala, and members of their team were taken to a nearby police station for questioning.
However, the tension was later eased after the intervention of a music industry figure. The matter was settled thanks to the involvement of Ija Omode Oga of Destiny Records, who stepped in to mediate between the parties.

Following the mediation, all individuals involved were allowed to leave the station after an agreement was reached. This development effectively ended the Portable Carter Efe dispute, which had already sparked intense reactions across social media platforms.
Portable himself later confirmed that the issue had been resolved. He shared a video on his Instagram page, informing followers that peace had been restored between the parties involved.
Despite the settlement, the singer did not hide his frustration toward Kolu Wahala. In the video, Portable criticised Kolu, who was once signed under his Zeh Nation label. According to the singer, Kolu showed little appreciation for the platform that helped him gain recognition in Lagos.
Moreover, Portable spoke about Kolu’s relationship with his girlfriend, Chidinma. He suggested that her alleged interest in him may have been linked to financial reasons.
Meanwhile, the incident has reignited conversations among fans about the often dramatic relationship between entertainers and social media personalities in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
Although the disagreement has now been resolved, discussions continue online about what truly happened at the bar that night.
