Veteran Nollywood actor John Amaefule has been hospitalized following a stroke, sparking deep concern among fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry.
The heartbreaking news was announced by renowned Nollywood producer Stanley Okereke, who took to Instagram to share the actor’s condition and appeal for financial assistance.
According to Okereke, Amaefule suffered a stroke affecting the left side of his brain and is currently receiving medical care at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Owerri.
The actor’s family is facing immense financial strain, as further tests and treatments are required for his recovery.
In his plea for help, Okereke wrote, “Nollywood Veteran Actor John Amaefule was rushed to the hospital this morning in Owerri after encountering stroke… The family is asking Nigerians to please help.
He’s currently in FMC Owerri, and they need money to save this man.”
Furthermore, Okereke shared details of the urgent medical needs outlined by doctors, which include a lipid panel test, hemoglobin A1C test, and electrolyte urea and creatinine tests.
Additionally, the actor requires medications for cholesterol, blood pressure, and possibly diabetes.
“He should be on aspirin and clopidogrel. Please guys, I want everyone in Nollywood to repost this. Let’s save a life,” he pleaded.
