Nigerians have taken to social media to demand justice for Ayanwole Oluwabamise, A 22-year-old lady found dead after she boarded a Bus -Rapid – Transit (BRT) vehicle on February 26.
The Lagos State Police Command, however had said it has commenced investigation into the alleged disappearance of Oluwabamise Adekunle Ajisebutu Lagos Police spokesperson, in a statement on Saturday said two suspects has been arrested in connection with the alleged disappearance of Oluwabamise.
According to NAN, the 22 year old works as a fashion designer at chervon Estate in Ajah Lagos, and spend the weekends at Ota, Ogun State with her sister. On February 26, while returning to Ota from Ajah, Oluwabamise was said to have boarded BRT bus heading to Oshodi, Lagos at about 7pm at Chevron bus stop. During the journey to Oshodi, the fashion designer was said to have observed that the driver was not picking up other passengers at subsequent bus stop along the route. She messaged her friend and sent voice note detailing her predicament as she was disturbed.
She told her friend that the driver of the BRT bus said he liked her, according to NAN. She also asked her friend to pray for her as she was suspicious of the bus driver and in response her friend asked her to alight at the Oworonshoki bus stop, some kilometres to Oshodi.
Oluwabamise sent video to her friend showing how dark the BRT bus was, noting that they were three men and one woman in the bus and the woman was sitting at the back. It was said that, that was the last time her friend heard from her.
Primero was said to have reported that they don’t operate Chevron/Lekki axis as it was not part of the route and the bus shown on social media is not owned or operated by Primero Transport Service Limited. She was found dead on Carter Bridge according to police Command and the driver of the BRT vehicle who conveyed Ayanwole Oluwabamise has been arrested Identified as Nice Andrew shortly after the death of bamise was made public.
it is not yet known where and how the driver was arrested.
The police should do the needful and fish out the perpetrators! Wicked and evil!
