Ned Nwoko Sparks Debate After Saying He ‘Feels Sorry for Men With One Wife’

Senator Ned Nwoko has sparked widespread reactions online after declaring that he feels “sorry for men with just one wife,” arguing that polygamy brings men balance and stability.

The Delta North lawmaker made the controversial statement during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Todayon Sunday, October 26, while responding to questions about his multiple marriages and his ongoing marital crisis with actress Regina Daniels.

When asked how he manages life with four wives something many men consider impossible the senator smiled before responding, “That’s a different topic for another day.

But yes, every man should do that. Imagine telling you to stand on one leg it’s difficult.

But when you stand on two, three, or four, you’re more balanced. I feel sorry for those who have one wife because it’s difficult to stand on one leg.”

His comments immediately drew mixed reactions across social media, with many Nigerians describing his analogy as “out of touch,” while others praised him for expressing his beliefs without fear.

When the interviewer pointed out that the Bible does not endorse polygamy, Nwoko countered confidently: “The Old Testament does. I’m a man of faith. But that’s not what we’re here for.”

The senator, known for his outspoken nature, also said he had no regrets about his marital decisions.

“No, I don’t have any regret. I would do the same thing again. That’s the way it should be you should marry who you want to marry,” he added.

Meanwhile, the interview came just hours after Regina Daniels flaunted a new mansion on Instagram, fueling fresh speculation about a possible separation.

The Nollywood star captioned her post: “In my house, I am a Queen! I needed a roof over my head, so I got this for me and my family.”

The post followed a viral video from October 18, in which Daniels appeared emotional while lamenting alleged domestic abuse.

“In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing. But in my own house, I am a Queen. I can’t stand the violence it’s too much,” she said tearfully in the clip.

Responding to the allegations during the interview, Nwoko firmly denied ever being violent.

“Come on, you know I’m not a violent person. I respect my wives. I love them and my kids,” he stated.
