The Nigerian Air Force has carried out a major offensive across the North-West and North-East, resulting in the neutralisation of several terrorists in what officials described as one of the most coordinated operations in recent months.
The strikes were part of fresh NAF precision airstrikes aimed at crippling terror networks and restoring stability in vulnerable communities.
The development was confirmed in a statement issued by Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, who serves as the Director of Public Relations and Information at the NAF headquarters.
He explained that the operations were driven by real-time intelligence and executed with what he called “precise, surgical engagements.”
According to the statement, the first attack took place in Katsina State on 27 November 2025 at about 0630 hours.
NAF aircraft reportedly targeted the base of a notorious terrorist leader linked to repeated kidnappings and violent attacks across Kankara, Faskari and Malumfashi LGAs.
Moreover, the strike was guided by continuous Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance, which enabled accurate hits on the camp.
“Guided by real-time Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), the aircraft destroyed the camp with precision munitions, while persistent ISR enabled follow-on engagements as surviving fighters attempted to flee,” Ejodame said.
Furthermore, a second coordinated strike at about 1755 hours hit another major hideout in Danfako, Faskari LGA.
The statement explained that the operation destroyed logistics hubs, structures, equipment and other facilities used by the terrorists.
Meanwhile, several fighters were neutralised, creating major setbacks for their network and weakening their safe havens in the wider North-West region.
In addition, a fierce attack by ISWAP and Boko Haram insurgents was repelled in Chibok, Borno State.
Ground troops of the 28 Task Force Brigade engaged the attackers, while NAF aircraft supported them with four major strikes.
The airstrikes targeted regrouping insurgents along their escape corridors, inflicting what officials described as “significant losses.”
The statement noted that the ongoing operations reflect NAF’s commitment to restoring peace across troubled areas.
Therefore, the force pledged continued collaboration with ground troops and other security agencies to protect lives and property.
