The entertainment world was left in shock on Friday after news broke that actress Catherine O’Hara has died at the age of 71.

The Emmy Award-winning star passed away on January 30, 2026, according to a confirmation from her longtime manager.

Details surrounding the Catherine O’Hara death remain limited. However, the Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed emergency responders were dispatched early Friday morning. Officials said they “received a call for medical aid earlier that day at 4:48 a.m.” at an address linked to the actress.

She was transported to a hospital in serious condition, but despite efforts, she later died.
