In a firm move to maintain the sacred nature of Hajj 2025, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior has announced a total ban on photography, video recording, and political or sectarian displays at all major Hajj sites.
According to the ministry, this regulation aims to preserve the spiritual and peaceful atmosphere during the holy pilgrimage.
This decision is part of a larger plan to ensure order, respect, and discipline throughout the pilgrimage season.
The ministry emphasized that any pilgrim breaking this rule will face serious consequences.
Security officials will be deployed to enforce this new rule strictly.
The ban applies to all major Hajj locations. These include the two most sacred mosques Masjid al-Haram in Makkah and Masjid an-Nabawi in Madinah as well as Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah.

According to the statement released on Tuesday, these sites must remain free from distractions, personal media activities, or any public political expressions.
In addition, the ministry reminded pilgrims that the Hajj is not just a religious obligation but a time for deep reflection and unity.
“Any conduct that goes against these values will not be accepted.
Pilgrims are strongly encouraged to adhere to the regulations and cooperate fully with authorities to ensure that Hajj 2025 is conducted in a peaceful, orderly, and spiritually enriching environment,” the ministry stated.
It also prevents any misuse of the holy spaces for personal branding, social media trends, or political influence and helps pilgrims focus solely on the purpose of Hajj.
Moreover, the presence of security personnel across the pilgrimage zones shows the seriousness of this directive.
The Saudi government is focused on maintaining the purity and order of the sacred event.
