Galatasaray have completed the permanent signing of Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen in a record-breaking deal worth €75 million.

The Turkish giants secured the 26-year-old from Napoli without selling a single player or borrowing funds.

The historic transfer, confirmed this week, marks the most expensive deal in Turkish football history.

Galatasaray Vice President Abdullah Kavukçu described it as a bold step for the club and a major statement ahead of the new season.

Osimhen’s arrival in Istanbul was met with an electrifying reception.

Thousands of fans gathered at Atatürk Airport waving Galatasaray flags and chanting the Nigerian striker’s name.

In response, Osimhen made a heartfelt promise: he would repay their belief with goals and trophies.

“I’m here to give my best. The fans deserve success, and I want to bring them joy,” he said.

During that stint, he scored 37 goals in 41 matches, helping Galatasaray lift the league trophy and regaining their place as domestic giants.

Vice President Kavukçu gave insight into the planning behind the ambitious deal.

“My president and I believed in this and started the process back in January,” he told Hurriyet. “We worked hard to raise the money without selling any players or borrowing funds. A portion is being paid upfront, and the full amount will be covered within a year.”

Kavukçu revealed that many doubted their ability to pull it off.

“Some people mocked us, calling it a PR stunt. Now that it’s done, we hope they will acknowledge our effort. The responsibility now lies with our fans.”

Furthermore, he emphasized that Galatasaray’s strength lies in self-belief and unity.

“Galatasaray is a massive club. We achieved this without asking for help. As for other transfers, we urge our supporters to stay calm, trust us, and believe in our vision.”

The deal also includes a 10% sell-on clause and bonuses tied to Osimhen’s goal tally, making it not just historic but strategic.
