The June 12 Democracy Day 2025 is more than a date on the calendar.

It symbolizes a turning point in Nigeria’s history, a reminder of the struggle for justice, and the value of participatory governance.

It is also a celebration of national heroes who paid the price for freedom, truth, and leadership by the will of the people.

Dr. Tunji-Ojo reassured Nigerians of President Bola Tinubu’s continued commitment to promoting democratic principles through the Renewed Hope agenda.

Moreover, he explained that democracy thrives when there is openness, freedom of expression, and a government that listens.

“Our democracy is growing, and we are committed to ensuring the people’s will shapes our systems cultural, economic, social, and political,” he stated.

Meanwhile, Nigerians have been encouraged to use this public holiday as an opportunity to reflect, participate, and appreciate the nation’s progress.
