Tension has flared up again between Rita Edochie and Judy Austin as a former lawyer for May Yul-Edochie has now weighed in publicly.
Emeka Ugwuonye slammed Rita’s conduct outside the Abuja High Court on Monday, he accused her of leading a group that mocked Judy in public.
This Rita Edochie and Judy Austin lawsuit continues to escalate with each new development, the case stems from a N1 billion defamation suit filed in July.
Judy had asked the court to compel Rita to apologize publicly, she also demanded that Rita retract her earlier controversial statements.
Just before the case was called up, Rita spoke out in a video, she insisted her online posts were purely about morals and education.
Rita claimed Judy misunderstood her intentions completely, she argued Judy only felt targeted because of guilt over her own actions.
Rita is married to an uncle of Yul Edochie, in the video, she made a bold prediction about the case’s outcome for Judy.
“She said that by the time the case is over, Judy is going to cry and that she will cry blood,” the report stated.
This lawsuit took a sharper turn following the courtroom incident as Emeka accused Rita of encouraging others to mock Judy outside court.
He identified the women involved as supporters of May Yul-Edochie, Emeka warned that legal consequences may soon follow for their actions.
He stated plainly that he plans to report them to authorities, according to him, they should prepare for possible arrest or relocation from Abuja.
Emeka also revealed that the incident was captured on camera, he said this footage could strengthen Judy’s case against Rita in court.
As of now, Rita has not responded publicly to these new allegations.
