The ongoing #EndSARS protest has been on since last week. The Senate President Ahmed Lawan and the Speaker of the House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila has appealed to the youths to leave the streets and give them time to tackle the problems facing the country.
However, popular Nollywood actress Ufoma Mccdermort would not have any of that. In a just uploaded video she posted on her Instagram page, she said “The Senate President and the Speaker have come out to appeal to us to get off the streets and allow them time to implement our five point demands however, they didn’t tell us what time was, there was no time frame refused to give us a specific time frame to timing. It wasn’t one year,four years, forty years, a generation or a life time!
“What I expected was that they would come out of that meeting that they will give us a timeline.”
She also added, “Timeline is very important because at this point we are so particular about accountability. They will come back to us and we will decide if the timeframe is okay with us or not. You need to give us a time frame sir, you can’t just tell us to get off the streets and give you time.” She concluded her speech.
