Elon Musk has found himself in a sensitive and heated situation, responding to allegations made by conservative influencer Ashley St. Clair regarding reduced child support payments for their alleged son.
The controversy sparked after St. Clair publicly accused Musk of slashing payments, a claim that led her to sell her Tesla to cover the financial gap.
In a post on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, Musk defended his actions and clarified his financial contributions to St. Clair and their alleged child.
“I don’t know if the child is mine or not, but am not against finding out. No court order is needed,” Musk stated, offering insight into his position. “Despite not knowing for sure, I have given Ashley $2.5M and am sending her $500k/year.”

The accusations from Ashley St. Clair come amid an ongoing battle over their child’s custody.
St. Clair was recently seen selling her Tesla, valued at around $100,000, outside her Manhattan home.
She explained that the sale was prompted by Musk’s alleged decision to reduce her child support payments by 60%.
“I’m selling it because I need to make up for the 60% cut that Elon made to our son’s child support,” St. Clair told reporters.
Her comments reflect a broader sense of financial strain, as she also hinted at Musk’s overall financial behavior, saying, “You can check the stocks, I’m not the only one who is cleaning up after his messes.”
St. Clair had previously taken legal action against Musk, seeking sole legal custody of their son.
In her suit, she claimed that Musk had been largely absent from their child’s life and had limited involvement in his upbringing.
According to St. Clair, Musk has had little to no contact with their son.
“He has met him only three times and has had no involvement in his care and upbringing,” she alleged.

Furthermore, she pointed out that Musk was absent during their son’s birth and has not publicly acknowledged the child.
Their strained relationship was further revealed when St. Clair disclosed their last conversation took place on February 13, a day before she went public with her claims.
“I don’t know why the richest man in the world would do this,” St. Clair said.
“Well, that’s his modus operandi when women speak out,” she added, hinting at a pattern she believes Musk has followed in past situations.
Musk’s defense of his actions on X follows the public back-and-forth, which has placed him in a delicate position.
His comments about giving St. Clair $2.5 million and providing $500,000 annually suggest that he is fulfilling his financial obligations, even though there is still uncertainty about the paternity of the child.
However, the situation has not calmed tensions between Musk and St. Clair.
As of now, the dispute remains unresolved, and Musk’s involvement in his alleged son’s life continues to be a source of controversy.
The case highlights the complexity of high-profile family disputes and raises questions about how public figures navigate personal matters when they spill into the public eye.
