The South-South region, Nigeria, is in mourning following the death of former Federal Commissioner for Information and Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) leader, Chief (Dr.) Sen. Edwin Kiagbodo Clark.
He passed away on Monday night at the age of 97.
This loss has left a profound void in the hearts of many, especially among those who admired his leadership and contributions to the region.
The news of his passing comes just days after the death of another notable leader, Ayo Adebanjo, who was 96.

In a statement signed by Professor C. C. Clark on behalf of the family, it was revealed that the late Clark’s family is deeply appreciative of the outpouring of prayers during this challenging time.
“The Clark-Fuludu Bekederemo family of Kiagbodo Town, Delta State, wishes to announce the passing of Chief (Dr.) Sen. Edwin Kiagbodo Clark OFR, CON on Monday 17th February, 2025.

In addition to his service in the federal government, Clark played a vital role in advocating for the rights of the Niger Delta people, ensuring that their voices were heard.
