Primate Elijah Ayodele has warned that two top security chiefs could lose their positions before the end of the current administration. Moreover, the warning comes shortly after he predicted the removal of the former Inspector-General of Police, a forecast that later came to pass.
The message has raised eyebrows within government circles. However, the cleric insists his warning should be taken seriously to avoid what he described as looming changes.
In a statement released by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church leader cautioned the Director-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Dr. Bashir Adewale, and the Controller-General of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Sylvester Ndidi. The Primate Ayodele prophecy suggested that both officials are at risk of being replaced.
“The Customs DG, Bashir Adewale and the Controller-General of Nigerian Correctional Service need to be very watchful against removal from office. I see their names being penned down for replacement already, except they seek the face of God.
“They need to pray against a bad record that will see them out of office. They should take this seriously because if care isn’t taken, they will be removed before the end of the current administration.”
According to the cleric, the alleged plan for their removal has already been set in motion. Therefore, he urged them to act swiftly through prayer and caution.
Furthermore, Ayodele stated that some ministers may not return if President Bola Ahmed Tinubu secures a second term. Although no names were mentioned, the comment has fueled speculation about possible cabinet reshuffles.
Meanwhile, he spoke about the newly appointed Inspector-General of Police, AIG Tunji Disu. He described him as capable but warned of strong opposition ahead.
“The new IGP has good plans, but he will be seriously challenged and fought, especially regarding the election. He needs to be careful and watch his back. Not everyone is happy with him. I see some plots against him.”
In addition, his recent accurate prediction about the former IGP’s removal has strengthened public attention around his statements.
