In March 2020 He was the first Premier League footballer to announce contracting the Coronavirus but has since recovered from it.

He was arrested in his West London penthouse in the early hours of Sunday 17th May 2020 at 4am, after a row with a glamour model at his home. A woman had placed a call to the police and ambulance services.

It was reported that the Chelsea superstar had met a woman only and invited her over to his house after exchanging romantic messages.

She was picked on the other side of London by his driver but unfortunately the meeting erupted to an argument. The Metropolitan police said: “Police and London Ambulance Service were called at 03:53hrs on Sunday 17 May to a report of an unwell woman.”
