Commissioner of Health and Chairman Jigawa Task Force on Covid 19, Dr. Abba Umar Zakari said 16 out of 45 almajiri’s Repatriated from Kano have tested positive to the Covid 19.
Dr Abba said 600 samples were taken and first batch of the result has been released. The commissioner of health said this while briefing newsmen, “Those who are negative would be released to their parents and those tested positive will be put in isolation and will be given medication until their results return negative,” he stated.
The commissioner said the committee was waiting for 555 remaining samples taken from the 600 Repatriated Almajiris from Kano State.
