The governorship candidate of the Labour party in Cross River State, Ernest Joes has joined the celebration of the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, on his birthday. He said Obi is representing a movement and everyone looks up to him to rebuild Nigeria.
This was made known in Calabar while speaking on Obi’s birthday and other issues affecting the Labour Party in Cross River State.“On behalf of every one in Cross River State and Labour Party, which I am the gubernatorial flag bearer, I wish His Excellency, Peter Obi, a wonderful birthday.” He said.
“We urge him that he is representing a large organ, a new generation, a movement of farmers, market women, children, unemployed, pensioners, everybody Looks up to him to come and rebuild Nigeria.“Our prayers will always be with him in his quest to liberate Nigeria, we will succeed and have victory at the end”, he added.
Based on the crisis within Labour Party in the state, he further stated that he believes in the rule of law and the right thing needs to be don, adding more to his statement that the crisis is not intractable, insisting that the NLC/TUC are members of the executive committee of the labour party in the state.
He, however, expressed optimism that the crisis will be resolved shortly, insisting that Labour Party is on track in winning the elections despite the distraction.
